Families often ask me to describe the Cedar Valley Catholic Schools. This is an easy but multifaceted task. First and foremost is our CVCS community, the faith and support of our families, our teachers and staff, our board of education, and our parishes. Together we strive to provide an exceptional learning environment, to instill a love of learning, to model a compassion for others, and to encourage the quest for knowledge.
Our true essence lies in the Catholic tradition of the Cedar Valley. Many of our faculty are alumni of our schools and have a love and passion that perpetuates this strong tradition and provides a solid faith foundation. From the moment you set foot on one of our campuses, you sense the community, the school spirit, and an environment where all are welcome and valued.
As you watch our students progress through the Cedar Valley Catholic Schools’ system, you will see the well-educated, purposeful adults they are becoming. You will appreciate their willingness to contribute to their communities through volunteerism. You will observe their growing awareness of the need for Christian service, which is demonstrated by the number of our alumni who continue to participate in our Parent Organizations, Booster Club, School Board, and serve as volunteers for the annual charity auction and golf tournaments. These worthwhile programs support our student scholarships, academic, fine arts, and activity programs.
We are truly blessed by the support of our Catholic parishes and benefactors. Our schools are rich in multicultural traditions, faith and diversity. Together we make a difference in the lives of our children, our families, and our communities.
Sincerely, Dr. Dale Monroe Chief Administrator
