Education takes on a broad meaning within Cedar Valley Catholic Schools. We hold fast to our mission of proclaiming the person and message of Jesus Christ in worship, in the local and world community, and through service. We do this within a unified system of Catholic education, from Pre-K through high school, that develops lifelong faith formation and an embedded yearning to learn.
As you weigh the various educational settings and opportunities for your children, we believe CVCS should be at the top of your list. As you learn more about us, you’ll come to know why we’re the first choice of families who believe that God, community, leadership and service are the foundation of the best possible learning environment
Best education for your child is one of the biggest decisions a family will make....
If you are like many families, you want your child to be able to learn in a safe, secure environment. You want your child surrounded by people—teachers, staff, and other families—who will have a positive inflhence and teach lessons about life, faith, belief, and moral values, not only academic subjects.
At Cedar Valley Catholic Schools, we do a great job teaching things like reading, writing, science, and math. But we also spend our time educating the whole child, in mind, heart, and spirit. Our five schools are caring communities where children get one-on-one attention, and a strong sense of right and wrong.
Catholic school isn’t free, but there are many families who understand that a child’s education is worth the investment and expense, especially when you consider what families get in return. A Cedar Valley Catholic Schools' education is not just the bare minimum. We develop a sense of faith, an ability to focus, and an expectation of achievement—all important aspects of success in school and life.
Our CVCS system provides many things that other schools don’t or can’t. We invite you to take some time to see what we believe is important. If you are a family with a student in elementary, please visit all three of our schools before you make a decision. See which school is the best fit for your child and family.
We look forward to meeting you, welcoming you, and introducing you to the faith, focus, and achievement that Cedar Valley Catholic Schools offer.
Faith...As children grow, they have many questions…about the world, their own identities, powers greater than themselves, and their relationship with God.
Focus…Individual attention, and the discipline and order that keep children safe, help children focus on what matters in life.
Achievement...Focusing on test scores has changed the way many schools teach students these days. In the Cedar Valley Catholic Schools, we take tests seriously and have great results with improvements each year, but we know they are only one measure of success. Leader in Me is another important aspect in our schools.
Values...Distinguish right from wrong and learning to behave in a world full of challenges and temptations. We will do everything we can in partnership with our families to raise your child in the right way. We strive to help our children learn and develop a solid foundation of values.
Community...Sharing hopes, dreams, and service experiences others is the best way to learn to treat others as you would like to be treated. As children grow and families become connected, the bonds of service and compassion that hold the school community together become stronger and stronger. We know your children will one day be our future leaders and parish members. Together we can make a difference.
Why has Cedar Valley Catholic Schools rebranded? Our new brand image is a more accurate visual representation of our values and quality education experience. The design, which is more contemporary, ensures we remain relevant to current students and can attract future generations.
As an evolution of our identity, it is friendly, bright and contemporary. It also conveys the look of a professional, faith-based institution of higher learning. It reflects our optimism for the future while also retaining our proud heritage. We see this as a positive step for the school system to ensure we remain sustainable, continue to grow and provide the best possible educational experience.
While we are refreshing how we look, it doesn't change who we are: "For God and Community, to Lead and to Serve."
